Mira Costa School - Cambodia Andrews - Day 1
by Chris Andrews on April 3, 2014 in Letters From Cambodia
Today was our first experience of the heat and humidity of Cambodia. We traveled to the place today and were enchanted with the buddhist temples. They were filled with intrecate statues and wood work. We then walked the streets and saw all the vibe of the city. For lunch we went to a place that was run by an NGO called Daughters of Cambodia which helps women in the sex trade to get jobs. Our last adventure of the afternoon we went to Living Arts where local musicians taught and played traditional music and dances. Despite the heat and humidity it was a fun day.
