Mira Costa School - Day 4 - Siem Reap

by  on April 6, 2014 in Letters From Cambodia
Half way through our tour of Cambodia, today we flew from Phenom Penh to Siem Reap.
Left: The colorful bus that drove us from the airport. Right: When in Siem Reap, do as the Reapeans do…

This northern city is like a small town compared to the capitol, and much more lush.  Before our stop Meta Karuna Center, we explored the downtown streets and alleyways, shopping for souvenirs.   Bedtime came early as we prepare for our pre-dawn trek to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat temple complex.
Left: Street vendor preparing durian fruit. Right: Decorative bridge gate in Siem Reap.

In an alleyway I found this man doing metalwork in a makeshift fire pit.
